The Challenge of Christian Education in La Salle Boys’ |
|
The Challenge of Christian Education in La Salle Boys’ School involves: - the delivery of an academic and vocational curriculum
- the spiritual development and pastoral care of pupils
- the creation and maintenance of an environment conducive to quality teaching and learning
This is done against a background of - curricular changes and development
- limited human and material resources
- an enrolment of 1210 students, some of whom are well motivated, others who need constant encouragement and a minority who need special help academically and socially
- a body of parents, most of whom are very supportive, some of whom hold attitudes and values which are somewhat different from those of the school and a few who are in need of help in the discipline of their sons.
- a split site which is unsatisfactory and demanding in many ways.
