De La Salle College has recently taken delivery of a brand new Moped for students following GCSE Motor Vehicle and Road User Studies. As part of their Controlled Assessment, the students will be instructed to safely ride the moped, before being assessed as part of the GCSE Practical Riding Activity.
It has been over 30 years since former La Salle Teacher, Desy Denvir introduced Road Traffic Studies to the School. The subject, albeit as a Level 2 GCSE qualification, will be offered by staff in the Technology Department.
It is also planned to offer the practical moped instruction to some students from our Sixth Form as part of the Post-16 Enhancement Programme.
