Yesterday marked the beginning of Catholic Schools Week 2021.

The theme this year is: Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith and Resilience.

We are currently living in an unprecedented time of challenge and now more than ever, our faith and the support and care of our whole school community is helping us all through these difficult times.

As a Lasallian community, we continue to pray for key workers on the front line and for those who are sick, isolating or lonely at this time.

The apprenticeship model has been effective in trades such as plumbing for decades, and it's been gaining growing support in the tech industry in recent years. Through schemes such as Workplus and with training provided by organisations such as Belfast Met, school leavers without tech qualifications have been successfully trained for careers in the industry.

The event is open to the public and all parents with an interest in their child's future career options are encouraged to attend. The event is intended to be a conversation between local parents and those in industry providing vocational routes into skilled tech industry jobs, not just a recruitment fair.
