For the Attention of Y11 Parents/Guardians pupils
I hope you are all well and had a restful and safe Easter break.
We are now in to Term 3 of this academic year and although we are in very difficult times I would like to remind all Y11 pupils how important it is that they continue with any work that has been set by teachers on the Google Classrooms. I fully appreciate that you have had to adapt to this new way of learning and that this is bringing new challenges for you but please do your best to use this facility.
It is important to stress that all of the subjects taken by Y11 pupils are two year courses so any work that pupils do this year will feed into their Y12 work and their overall qualification. At the minute we are hoping that any written exams missed this year can be done in the new academic year so we need to prepare for these. Even if you do not have to take these missed exams you will still need the skills, knowledge and techniques to ensure successful outcomes for Y12 exams. This is why it is vital that you complete, to the best of your ability, the tasks set by your subject teachers on their Google Classrooms. You may be studying a subject for GCSE/Level2 that you may want to keep on to A Level/L3 so work completed in Y11 and Y12 will be of great benefit to you.
If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me through the school information email. (info@delasallecollege.org.uk)
Pupils of course are more than welcome to communicate any of their concerns to their teachers using the Google Classrooms.
Please take care and stay safe
Mrs V Hanna
Acting Head of KS4
