De La Salle College Belfast recently hosted 22 pupils and 2 staff from St Kieran’s College Kilkenny. The respective colleges have formed very strong links as they have been participating in a popular educational, sporting and cultural exchange over the last 25 years. Legendary Kilkenny hurlers Ritchie Hogan and TJ Reid are just some of the many pupils who have benefitted from the exchange visits.
In an active and busy itinerary the young cats played La Salle in a challenge game, participated in a joint quality coaching session with La Salle pupils conducted by Gaelfast coaches, shopped in O’Neill’s superstore, participated in an open bus top tour of Belfast and visited Omniplex Cinema in Kennedy Centre and enjoyed indoor energetic activities of Air-Tastic Indoor Trampoline Park.
Yet again many friendships were formed and La Salle are eagerly looking forward to a return visit to the Marble City in September.
